Climbing the mountain!
I really enjoyed this course. The most exciting part of this course for me was the deeper understanding I now have of the DBL process and how to make it work. I am far from an expert at this, but at least now I know how to pursue excellence in making DBLs. I feel much more confident in approaching DBLs and STEM.

This was a truly worthwhile and fantastic course. I am really excited about the different technologies that we learned and look forward to continuing to use them in my classes. It was great to learn and actually use so many different types....this really allowed us to try them on for size to see which ones work for us. I liked the structure of the class and the fact that every assignment was valuable and applicable to current teachers.
I found this course very helpful as I try to integrate more technology into my classroom. I learned a lot about technology I was aware of, but not too familiar (flipping, blogs, Prezi). I also learned loads of new technology that I have already began using with my classes. I enjoy the idea of using Popplet in the classroom, and incorporating Piktographs and Mood Boards into my instruction.
The TED talks were very interesting and inspirational. I will definitely use that resource!
This was a mood board that I found for my Pay-It-Forward lesson.. I used it in an Infographic.

I am excited to use more infographics in my lessons. I am fascinated by some of the real professional ones I have seen. I love art and math, and I feel the inforgraphics will be a good medium to work with.
Overall I feel this class has opened my eyes more to using different technologies in my lessons. I hope it has done the same for all who have taken this course.
God Bless,
Michael Braudrick

Wow! I feel so techy!
Although we are all overwhelmed as teachers, we know that learning new things really make us a better teacher. This is really how I feel about this class. I have already begun to implement Google into my journalism classes, but I feel like it has definitely been the most helpful tool for me. I was just scratching the surface of the capabilities of the Google machine. I still think there is so much more I can do, but I take it one day at a time. By sharing with my students this knowledge, they have run with it and daily show me new things!
I almost wish I could take the class again just to really absorb more of the information and tools. I do plan to continue trying new tech tools and sharing them with my students. I have definitely become more tech smart.

I thought the class was valuable for me. There were several concepts and ideas that I have been able to consider to make the PBL successful in my classroom. It would have taken me a lot longer to discover most of these on my own. The tools we have been using will be very useful and I fully intend on using them. I do wish my school was further along with infrastructure and support for some of these. I also have found that many of the students do not have as much access to technology at home as I would have thought. However, I have been using what I have in the classroom to my advantage. I am really looking forward to doing what I can now and really make a push in the summer to increase it.

I absolutely loved, loved, loved this course. I feel like it was a rare opportunity to learn things and instantly implement them into my classroom in powerful ways; whereas you don't always get that with classes. I have already recommended this course to all of my colleagues at my school, so don't be surprised if and when you see them next semester.
Thank you for creating such a great course for teachers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics related disciplines. I can't wait to really hone my newfound skills and see what develops in the next couple of years!
Sincerely,
Andrea

what a great course!!
This course came just at the right time for me. Since we started with iPads last year, this year my goal was to use more tools and do more projects. This course made doing those things so easy!! I would love to continue and learn more about other things. Much of what we were introduced to was new to me. I have used quite a few things already. I think my favorite is using the QR codes. I used them for extra credit work so they didn't know what their project was until the scanned it. One student, after scanning his, came up to get a different one because he said the one he had was too hard. :)
This snowman is happy!! That's how I feel about the course!!

Something old, something new
Several of the things taught in this course were things that I've already used in class. I have used Prezi many times before and give it as an option for students when they are doing a presentation or an assignment. I have been blogging for a few months now, but I read many blogs and am no stranger to the blogosphere. More recently, I started using guided inquiry/DBL type projects to motivate my students into learning. While I've known about them and have used them in the past, it's nice to get a refresher about those options for my classes.
Other things taught in the class were new to me. Some I didn't really find useful (pikograph and paddlet) but others I found that I liked (popplet and games). My goal for next semester is to include more of those things in my lessons. It'll be difficult, especially because we don't have the best computers at my school, but it will be worth it if the students learn better.

The most exciting thing for me was using the QR codes. That is something I'm going to add to more lessons in the future. It's a great way for students to use their devices plus it allows me to embed videos into notes and activities that are conceptually difficult for students to understand. It's something I definitely plan to use in the future.
Continue to utilize resources
Even though this course is over, I already have a 'flipped' unit I will be doing in the next upcoming weeks for my honors classes. I am 'piloting' it in my honors classes as I am hoping that motivation may not be as bit of a drawback with this selection of students. We will see!
I am also going to be printing QR Codes for various mini videos for our College Algebra students to help them when I am asked to sub for that. They are eager for help and the inclusion of the QR codes should be fun for them. Thanks again. Have a great Thanksgiving everyone! I would love to do even more if a future course is offered with more information, gaming, or more in-depth projects for another course. My colleagues should be applying soon.
